Ill Teach You to Love Again

Did y'all know that there is ONE grapheme trait the Bible says is absolutely required in order for us to abide in God and know Him? It's true. That 1 character trait is Dearest … and for that reason, TODAY, I urge yous to pray, "Lord, teach me to love!"

This can exist a difficult thing to talk nigh, because walking in things that are NOT dear has become "cool" in the Trunk of Christ these days.

It has become cool:

To brag and say, "I don't accept the gift of mercy" … which is a character defect, not a matter to brag almost. (Luke half dozen:36: "Therefore be merciful, only every bit your Begetter also is merciful.")
To attack and abuse people who have unlike theological or political persuasions than you have.
To dismiss people whom we deem to be un-redeemable.

I sympathise the fleshly urge to do all these things. We all battle with these thoughts. Withal, we all have to effigy out ways to overcome our flesh and our fleshly thoughts and decide to walk in Love instead. We can disagree with people while still loving them.

What is love?

Love is kind.
Love is NOT envious.

It is NOT self-centered.

And the matter is, the Bible says that UNLESS we have love–THIS LOVE–in our middle, then Nosotros DO Non KNOW GOD.

If we accept the kind of dearest that snickers and laughs backside our hands (instead of grieving) when someone else is caught in sin …

Ouch.

I don't know near you, only I'm non there still. I'm not there yet where I always think merely expert thoughts well-nigh people–even the people who hurt me–no matter what. But, I know I can walk in that kind of love–the dearest that You accept toward me–because Your Give-and-take says that You will help me; that Your grace is sufficient for me; that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness; and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Merely Abba Father, for me to walk in Your honey like You lot do, I need a heart modify.

I confess my sin to You today, Lord. I confess that I have not walked in love to this point. I take non loved the manner You lot say I should beloved. I have sinned in many ways past my failure to dearest, and I repent for it today.

Lord, Your Word says that if I confess my sins, You lot are faithful and just to forgive me my sins, and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I confess that I take not loved; and then, I humbly ask for Your forgiveness. Please forgive me, Lord. Cover me with the claret of Jesus. Launder me; make me make clean; and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.

I'm then lamentable, Lord, for sinning against You lot in declining to be loving and merciful. I'g distressing, Lord. Thank You for forgiving me.

Lord, I desire to motion forwards into the dear-walk that Yous have prescribed.

And so today, Male parent, I ask You to change my eye. In Jesus' name, please take away my erstwhile centre–the stony heart–and give me a centre of mankind. Give me Your eye, Lord. Accept away my onetime spirit and give me Your Spirit.

Lord, delight requite me the center of love that You have:

Help me to receive Your great love for me.
Help me to dearest myself the manner You want me to, with Your ain perfect love that You have placed in my heart.
Help me to love Yous back with Your own dear–with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and spirit.

Teach me to dear, Lord. Aid me to abide in dearest.

Lord, place a deep confidence about the beloved-walk in my middle. Aid me to remember from this solar day forward that I tin can't abide in You or even know You unless I love. Teach me to love, Abba Father. Assistance me.

Abba Father, I love Yous. I want to abide in You. I want You more than annihilation.

But Your Give-and-take says that I cannot know You nor bide in You unless I abide in love. And so today, Abba Father, I give up to You. I surrender to Your love. I give up to receive Your beloved; to love You back with the same love; and to love others with Your own perfect beloved.

Teach me, Lord. Assistance me. Keep me on a curt leash and convict me, Lord, about the importance of love AT ALL TIMES. Thank you, Lord. I know You will assistance me, for this is Your perfect will for me.

Thank you, Abba Father. In Jesus' holy and precious name, amen."
